Question: When you grade cards with Auto, are you getting the card and auto graded? Or do you just get the card graded with auto athenticated? I know the 10/10 is ultimate but not sure if the Auto 9 grade is worse than auto authenticate. What is the best strategy when grading auto cards that you are reccommending?

Good question. For us, we just do the card grade only. Really the main reason is that we don't feel like the extra grading cost and longer turnaround time is worth the upside of a 10/10. Plus you always run the risk of getting an auto 9 or worse.

If I missed this I apologize but how do you decide on what tier you use?

Good question. I've touched on this briefly in other posts, but this is the first time I decided to explicitly include it in a market update post. Generally we submit based on the value of a PSA 9 (so if a PSA 9 is worth $1,000 we chose the tier with the max value of $1,000). This means we get upcharged on 10s often, but almost never on 9s.
