I could get this parallel for $85. Would you take that if you were in my shoes?

I'll add to this although I might be a bit different from Hobby Wire in terms of style. I'd prefer to buy something more liquid, that way it's easier for me to know how the market is moving on the card. I'd recommend just the basic Bowman Chrome First Refractor. You can even buy 2 or 3 if you want more than $35 of exposure.

Honestly, would depend on condition for us. 2020 Bowman Platinum has so many QC issues, they're really tough to grade. That foil finish tends to peel up more often than not.

$85 is a solid price though. Especially for a numbered Gunnar auto. If it's only for the PC, we'd probably pull the trigger and put that in a one touch. If it's for an investment, we'd pass.

I appreciate the response. What are your usual guidelines when it comes to sticker autos? And do you ever mess with the unlicensed Panini cards?

I'll add to Hobby Wire's answer here as well. We're fine with sticker autos, but again that's coming at it from more of a profitability standpoint than from a collector preference standpoint. I'll also add that we hesitate a bit on unlicensed cards in general, with the one exception being all the Topps Chrome stuff in 2024. Especially the autos.

If we like the card, we like the card. Would we prefer all autos to be on-card? Sure. But we wouldn't let that stop us from adding something to our PC.

We'd never close the door fully on unlicensed cards, but it isn't something we seek out either. It would have to be a cool looking patch or something to get us interested.
