Top 3 Cooper Flagg Cards To Grade For Profit Right Now
We're finally starting to buy the most exciting rookie in basketball.
Well, it turns out this Cooper Flagg kid is pretty good. As a 19 year old rookie, Flagg is having the greatest teenage season, maybe ever? With that said, it should come as no surprise that this is one of the players we will be targeting going forward.
This post will look at 3 of the top Cooper Flagg cards to buy, grade, and resell right now. We will focus on the cards that are abundant on the market, meaning that just knowing these three cards well could help you invest thousands into Cooper Flagg (if you choose to do so).
Given that this is a fairly new card, with the first PSA 10s hitting the market at the beginning of February, we will apply a 20% Market Adjustment to our market values. To put this in simple terms, if a PSA 10 Cooper Flagg card is worth $1,000, we will treat it as an $800 card in our calculation. You can read about our framework for doing this here.
One final note before we start, these markets are very volatile right now, so I recommend you double check market values before buying anything. This is also part of the reason I picked only the 3 top cards for analysis.

Topps Chrome Grading Notes
To wrap up, I want to give you guys some quick grading notes to help you buy cards that have a real shot at grading as PSA 10s. Note that this all applies to the Topps Chrome #251 cards, not the Topps Chrome Silver Pack cards.

Centering is a bit tricky.
I’ve attached an example card below to illustrate this. The markups on the card show you how to measure the borders. In the example, the top border and left border are both too large, meaning that this card is very unlikely to grade as a PSA 10. The areas marked in red should be the same size in all 4 directions.
The top corners on the back are often dinged.
Look out for this specifically when buying. I’ve attached an example below.
Average Gem Rates can vary significantly across different parallels.
For example, the Topps Chrome Sapphire #251 card has about a 54% Gem Rate, while the Topps Chrome Red White & Blue #251 card has a 25% Gem Rate. These differences are not uncommon for mass produced cards, but this is something to be aware of.
